Nuvo-9531-FT: Fanless Industrial Computer with Flat-Top Heatsink Design

The Nuvo-9531-FT is a newly introduced fanless industrial computer from Neousys featuring a flat-top heatsink structure. It is specifically designed for stable operation in environments where air circulation is limited, such as sealed metal cabinets, waterproof enclosures, or explosion-proof cases. The system incorporates a non-adhesive thermal interface pad on top and efficiently dissipates heat through the heatsink to maintain a stable operating temperature.

Processor and Performance

This system supports 14th Gen Intel® Core™ processors, offering configurations of up to 24 cores and 32 threads—delivering approximately twice the processing power compared to 10th and 11th Gen CPUs.

Based on the LGA1700 socket, it supports a wide range of processors from i9 to i3 within the 65W and 35W TDP range.

Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 770 or 730 enables dual display output via VGA and DisplayPort, supporting resolutions up to 4K.

Memory and Storage

The Nuvo-9531-FT supports up to 32GB of DDR4-3200 memory and features a PCIe Gen4 x4-based M.2 2280 slot for ultra-fast NVMe SSDs, supporting speeds up to 7,000 MB/s.

It also includes a hot-swappable 2.5” HDD/SSD tray, allowing for convenient storage replacement without shutting down the system or disassembling the chassis.

Rich I/O Interfaces

A wide range of industrial I/O interfaces are integrated for field connectivity:

• 4 x 2.5GbE LAN ports based on Intel I226-IT, optionally supporting IEEE 802.3at PoE+ for powering IP cameras or sensors

• 4 x USB 3.2 Gen1 (5Gbps) ports with screw-lock design

• 2 x USB 2.0 ports

• 4 x COM ports (1 x RS-232/422/485, 3 x RS-232 or 1 x RS-422/485)

• 8-channel isolated digital I/O (4 DI / 4 DO)

• Audio I/O via 3.5mm jacks (mic-in and speaker-out)

Wireless Communication and Expandability

To enhance system flexibility, the Nuvo-9531-FT offers:

• 2 x full-size mini PCIe slots (with internal SIM sockets)

• 1 x M.2 2230 E Key slot

These can be used to add Wi-Fi 5/6, 4G/5G modules, or Google Edge TPU, enabling scalable wireless communication and AI inference capabilities.

Mechanical Design and Environmental Durability

With an ultra-low-profile compact form factor of 212(W) x 165(D) x 45(H) mm, the Nuvo-9531-FT is easy to install in tight spaces. It features a durable 2.4 kg chassis for robust use in industrial environments.
