This product is designed based on Intel’s low-power SoC, the Atom® E3800 series. It features excellent energy efficiency, a wide range of input/output interfaces, and multi-display support, making it a versatile platform for various industrial applications.
Processor and Memory Configuration
The EBC 355XP is equipped with an Intel Atom® E3800 series processor, providing both low power consumption and stable performance. It offers one 204-pin DDR3L SO-DIMM slot, supporting up to 8GB of memory. Memory speeds of 1066MHz or 1333MHz are supported, allowing flexible adaptation to various applications.
Display Output Configuration
The graphics engine uses the Intel® Gen7 integrated GPU and supports up to three display outputs via HDMI, VGA, and LVDS. Both HDMI and VGA support resolutions up to 1920x1200, while LVDS offers either a 24-bit or 48-bit dual-channel configuration, also supporting up to 1920x1200 resolution, ensuring high compatibility with high-resolution industrial panels. Stable operation in multi-display environments makes it ideal for HMI, kiosks, and digital signage.
Audio and Communication Interfaces
High-resolution audio is supported via the Realtek ALC888 codec, with pin headers provided for mic-in, line-out, and speaker output, enabling use in multimedia-related applications. Networking is handled by dual Gigabit LAN ports based on the Intel® I210-IT, and features such as PXE boot and Wake-on-LAN are supported, making it suitable for remote operation and maintenance environments.
Expandability and I/O Configuration
For expandability, there are two mini-PCIe slots (one full-size, one half-size) for adding modules such as Wi-Fi, 3G/4G, or mSATA. Four USB 2.0 ports are placed on the external edge for easy connection of external devices, and up to four serial ports can be expanded via internal headers. Among these, COM1, COM3, and COM4 support RS-232, while COM2 supports RS-232/422/485, ensuring compatibility with a variety of industrial serial devices. Additional features include 4-in/4-out GPIO, onboard power and reset buttons, fan connector, keyboard/mouse header, and onboard buzzer, further enhancing its completeness as a control board.
Storage, Power, and Environmental Resistance
For storage, two SATA 2.0 ports are provided for stable connection to external SSDs or HDDs. Power is supplied by +12V DC via a 4-pin power connector. The system monitoring function allows real-time checks on CPU temperature, system temperature, voltage (4 channels), and fan speed, ensuring stable system operation.
The board boasts robust environmental specifications as well. Operating temperature is supported from -40°C to +85°C, and the same range applies for storage, ensuring reliable operation even in harsh environments. It also endures humidity levels from 10% to 90% during operation and 5% to 95% (non-condensing) when not in operation, ensuring reliability for systems installed outdoors or in enclosed spaces.
The EBC 355XP meets all the core requirements of industrial systems, including expandability for storage, flexible power input, monitoring for thermal and electrical conditions, and physical durability to withstand extreme temperature and humidity.
