In the 5G era, edge applications demand higher performance and stable network connectivity. NexCOBOT’s EBC 358 is a 3.5” embedded board powered by the Intel Atom® x6000E series processors, delivering both performance and scalability, making it an optimal platform for next-generation industrial edge computing.

Processor and Memory Configuration

The EBC 358 is equipped with the Intel Atom® x6000E series processors, offering up to 40% higher performance compared to the previous generation. Supported processor options include:

- x6425E: Quad-core, 2.0GHz (up to 3.0GHz), 12W TDP

- x6413E: Quad-core, 1.5GHz (up to 3.0GHz), 9W TDP

- x6211E: Dual-core, 1.3GHz (up to 3.0GHz), 6W TDP

The memory configuration features a single DDR4 SO-DIMM slot, supporting up to 32GB (3200MHz, non-ECC). This provides greater flexibility and expandability compared to onboard memory solutions.

Display Output Configuration

The board supports triple display output and is compatible with a variety of industrial panels.

- HDMI 1.4b: up to 3840×2160 @ 30Hz (4K)

- VGA: up to 1920×1080 @ 60Hz

- LVDS (dual channel 18/24bit): up to 1920×1080 @ 60Hz

This configuration delivers an optimized solution for applications requiring multi-display support, such as smart HMIs, multimedia panels, and in-vehicle infotainment systems.

Networking and I/O Configuration

The EBC 358 integrates dual Intel® i210-IT Gigabit LAN controllers, ensuring reliable industrial network connectivity. To enhance 5G communications, it supports an M.2 Key B slot with a nano SIM slot, as well as a mini-PCIe slot to meet next-generation wireless requirements.

I/O configuration includes:

- USB: 2 × USB 3.2 Gen1, 4 × USB 2.0

- Serial Ports: 3 × RS232, 1 × RS232/422/485

- SATA 3.0 × 1

- 8-bit GPIO (4-in/4-out)

Power and Power Management

The EBC 358 supports DC 12V or 24V input with selectable AT/ATX power modes. It also integrates a Watchdog Timer (WDT) and TPM 2.0 security module, enhancing both system stability and security.
