Neousys Technology introduces the PCIe-NPL54, an innovative frame grabber card designed for autonomous driving, ADAS, outdoor robotics, and other mission-critical edge AI applications.

Engineered with a fanless, wide-temperature design (-40°C ~ 70°C) and low power consumption (<20W), the PCIe-NPL54 ensures reliable performance while simultaneously connecting up to four GMSL2 cameras in demanding industrial environments.



Processor and Interface Configuration

The PCIe-NPL54 supports x4 Gen2 PCI Express interface and operates entirely through the PCIe slot without requiring external power cables.

As a single-slot, half-size card, it is easy to install and seamlessly integrates into rugged edge systems where space is limited.



Camera Support and Performance

The card offers four GMSL2 FAKRA Z input ports, supporting multiple high-resolution camera configurations, such as:

  • 2 × 8MP + 1 × 3MP @ 30 FPS

  • 4 × 5MP @ 30 FPS

  • 4 × 2MP @ 60 FPS

Optimized for automotive-grade GMSL2 cameras, it is fully compatible with HDR (120–140 dB), LED Flicker Mitigation (LFM), and ISP-based auto exposure, gain, and white balance control.

This ensures optimal image quality under extreme lighting conditions, including low-light, glare, and high-contrast environments.



GPS PPS Synchronization and Scalability

To achieve precise sensor fusion, the PCIe-NPL54 includes GPS PPS input/output functionality, enabling:

  • Frame synchronization across multiple devices

  • Accurate LiDAR-to-camera data alignment

  • Multi-card daisy-chain configurations

This ensures millisecond-level synchronization for advanced autonomous driving and high-precision perception systems.




Environmental Durability and Reliability

The PCIe-NPL54 also incorporates automatic recovery from unexpected ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) interruptions, ensuring continuous video streaming in unattended or harsh environments.
